For a very important date!

THIS IS IN MANGA STYLE; Read right to left. Silly Smoke, always thinking Zen is out to get him. Long description is long. I hate myself for not finishing this on time. Or at least on the date I had set for it. Damnit. I started it, like, 5 days ago. Come on. It's always the inking step that kills me. I enjoy the sketching because I'm not following anything. But the inking? I can ink by hand, but my tablet cannot do a straight line. It just can't. So what I have to do is go over it several times then erase the edges until it is a small line. The good thing about this particular page is that it was much easier than the first manga page I made with this program. Partly because I now have some experience with it and am used to it, (so used to it that when I open a different program, I feel uncomfortable because I forget where everything is at. Heh.) but also because this page just had a simpler design. Mostly because it's a humorous scene, whereas my first scene was darker. Now let me explain... Zen is a REALLY new character. Like, 5 days old new. Well actually I first drew him about 2 weeks ago, but I didn't develop his character until recently. Smoke and Kaneri aren't NEW new, but only recently have I mapped out who they are and how they act. Zen is a very calm person, and he is pretty eccentric. He was the male Mental Exp. subject at Unit 895, so he the supreme ability to sense peoples emotions and life force. As a result, he likes to irritate people. Just so he can feel the reaction. His favorite subject is of course, Smoke. Smoke is so hot headed that it takes very little to piss him off. Smoke protects Kaneri, who has the mindset of a 7 yr old girl, and often gets into trouble. One point of this story is that Zen's hair is looonnnng and soft. Kaneri LOVES IT. So she'll always try and mess with it, even though Smoke hates it when she is around Zen, feeling he might influence her in the wrong way. His fears are met right here in this scene, where Kaneri falls victim to the distraction of Zen's beautiful minty hair, and is now stuck in a dirty pit. Zen's about to get punched in the face. And he knows that. I hate chibi. It is really not my thing. At all. And you can probably see that. But it was necessary for quick story telling . That's a little folding fan that Zen has in his hand. He carries it in his sleeves. He uses it to bap people on the head rather than to cool himself off. I'm tired of working with this junk now. Screw you guys, I'm gonna go play Zelda.

Refer to After the Tests 1 for the basic backstory. In order: Miles - Left the Unit and joined no sides, remaining neutral. He never wants to talk about the Unit. The experiments made him very reflexive, but sometimes unecesarily. Eventually Tsuda convinces him to help her out. Smoke - Still feeling agony from the loss of his sister, Smoke takes in Kaneri (After the Testing 1) and treats her like a little sister again, since she has the mind of a child anyway. Smoke is VERY hot tempered and definitally doesn't get along with anyone except Kaneri. The experiments made him physically the perfect fighter. He often will pick fights with people, namely, Zen. Newton - The experiments reacted badly with him. His arms and legs were destroyed from a test gone wrong. The Unit gave him psuedo limbs, but they were bad quality and often broke. He could move very far, and ended up just staying at the Unit even though it had been broken down. After a bit of time, he is found by the good side (yet to be named ><) and is taken in. Nostalgia, the expert doctor, developed much better limbs for him. Newton is an optimistic person and is just happy to be alive. Zen - The experiments made Zen very sensitive to other people's feelings, and he can even tell what plants are feeling (essentially, talk to them). He also has some blast-psi abilities, but they aren't as strong as Mari's. He works for Rohwit and gets payed a lot, so he lives in a very pristine and naturic environment that is extremely calming to the senses, which is what he needs for his overactive mind. He purposefully likes to annoy people, but is actually a really, really nice guy. Amanda, the shrine priestess, discovered his kindness and calming home, and quickly starts to take advantage of it all as a huge stress reliever, something which she DESPERATELY needs from her job. As time goes by, she finds herself fallen for him.

A few years later, the unit has been raided and the subjects freed. Well sorta. Many of them were taken in by the bad side ( the Rohwits) to help them. The good side only managed to get thier hands on a few of them. In order. Tsuda - Taken in by the good side almost right after she woke up. A lot of her memory is erased, including her name, her family, and what she was doing there. The experimentation made her brain much more alert, and when she needs it, her mind can take in many more frames a second, thereby making everything slow down for her, giving her time to react and think. Initially becomes close with a fellow soldier named Jason, but he goes KIA. Later Tsuda meets Newton, another super soldier, and becomes involved with him instead. Amanda - Take this oppurtunity to restart her life, getting an unforgiving job as a shrine priestess for Lord Roh, where she works herself to the bone to make her pay. The experiments made her unusually strong, though she doesn't look like it. She has a bad attitude and is always stressed out; that is, until she meets Zen. Kaneri - Absolutely all over her memory has been erased past about when she was 7. Therefor, she acts like a child. The testing gave her high senses. She can see in the dark (though is still nearsighted), hear things far away, and as an added bonus, she can shriek really loud, causing people in the radius around her to just go mad from the sound. Mari - Being already mentally disturbed before the experiments, the testing went crazy with her. It implanted a secondary personality inside of her, one that does not require life in order to function. A ghost, if you will. This ghost, dubbed ABBA, is the inverted image of Mari, and can extend out of her to reach into others and pull them apart. Literally. Mari is taken in immediatly by the Rohwits who use her Cotard's Dilusion Syndrome to make her think for them.

Taken in by the Unit and placed in Reflexive Experimentation under the code G11. Smoke - Living on his own for a while with his little sister. She recently died from an illness, leaving him without any family. Placed in Physical Experimentation under the code D29. Newton - Drifting around the country as a traveler. Randomly plucked off the roadside while he was walking to anywhere. Placed in Sensory Experimentation under the code K17. Zen - Left home to preform some tasks for his parents. Asked if he had a family, he said he never had a family. Taken in and placed in Mental Experimentation under the code C12.

Got the idea for this from a piece of manga from my Shounen Jump In the story, there was this inhuman Unit that would preform experiments on people in order to create a super soldier. They had 4 set experiments, and they wanted to try each one on one boy and one girl. But they didn't take into effect age, race, mental and physical problems, or personality. So each experiment had a different result. Morons. Later the Unit was raided and destroyed, and each of the subjects ran off. Though they were grabbed by different organizations to help the war, many on the bad side. But anyway, these are each the girls just before the experiments. In order: Tsuda - Tsuda is a runaway, after having some bad times at home. She is taken in by the Unit and put right into Reflex Experimentation under the code J08. Oddly looks like Terra from Teen Titans. Amanda - Former prostitute, taken off the street and into the Unit since they assume she has no family. (she does, but she hates them all anyway). Put into Physical Experimentation unter the code A30. Kaneri - Simple lady, librarian. No recorded family. Came to the Unit willingly after they asked her nicely. Put in Sensory Experimentation under the code S05. Mariposa - Orphaned from a very young age. Pulled out of the orphanage by the Unit saying that she is now "adopted" by them. Put in Mental Experimentation under the code T1

(this is read right to left, manga style) Obvious base is so damn obvious. I am going to use the HELL out of this trial before it ends. Except a LOT of that is going to end up being just STICHING THE DAMN THING TOGETHER IN PAINT. The trial version for some stupid reason won't allow me to "save as" and therefor save the file under a useable format (Bmp, jpg, etc.). So I was stuck screen capping and stiching together. Do you know how hard it is to line up a thousand dots? I wish I could have the full version of this program; After some getting used to, I found it enjoyable. Except my tablet is NOT good for inking. Sketching is fine, but outlining this thing was a BITCH. A. BITCH. I had fun messing with screentones, though. I goofed off with them, using them as much as possible. The dude in the comic was a guinea pig for it. Several tons for clothes and hair and such. I could do much with Mari, though, because being my OC, her colors are already esstablished. Light tones. Can't work with them much. But whatever. But onto the actual scene, I used bases from the manga Psyren. For the main scenes, at least. Two totally unrelated scenes, and I managed to stick them together with the power of OC's. Heh. I love the third panel. Love how it turned out. Mari has always been my creeper OC, and this captured her well. Yaaay. Also she's a psycho and doesn't really care when she kills people. Yaaaay! This is the Chaotic Evil guy from the filled Character Alignment meme. His name is Roh, and he represents all the evil and bad in the world. He was created by The, the god of Balance, in order to, obviously, balance out the world against Celestia, godess of all that is good. Roh is no mercy. He will kick yo ass I_I Most all of the time his mask is full and you never see his face. In fact everybody thinks that it is really his face and is not removeable. When actually, his mask represents the evils of lies, and his face represents the evils of lust. It's attractive, no? Even if you don't normally find it attractive, something in his eyes forces those that see his actual face to fall for him. This was a nice chance to work with body paint and such. I considered full tattoos all over his body, but I'm lazy. The golden things coming over his shoulder are part of his outfit, but also fused to him. They are moldable, the way I'm envisioning it is like the liquid metal guy from the second Terminator movie. Hmm... But ya. Roh. My OC. Steal and suffer. Made with pastels.

"Poison" in german. Soooo see, this is old also from High school. It WAS a small drawing. I mean small because I lost it in some art show/contest I whent to in another city. So, this is the ONLY copy I have of it. Pencil colors, markers and gouch paint for the blood splatter effect. Yes yaoi, to baaaad lol. Yeesss the name of the band :3 This was a request from a guy I chated with and rped ages ago. He requested his character Gabriel/Uriel to be drawn. So yeah...credit for chara isnt mine. Old artwork and another DA file. Pencilcolor and added the white dots and "stained glass" in Paint Shop Pro 8.
